|Macroeconomics, Tenure-Track Assistant Professor|
of Economics in the Faculty of Arts at the University of
Waterloo is seeking an exceptional scholar and researcher for a tenure track
position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of macroeconomics with
anticipated start date of July 1, 2019. Duties include
research, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, and supervising
successful candidate must have a PhD in Economics or a related discipline completed
by the date of their appointment at the University of Waterloo. Evidence of an actively developing research
program with emphasis on macroeconomics is
required. Candidates must demonstrate
the potential for high quality research and the ability to publish in reputable
peer-reviewed journals. Candidates must
also demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and supervision of
range for this position at the rank of Assistant Professor is $100,000 to
$150,000 per annum. Negotiations beyond this salary range will be considered
for exceptionally qualified candidates.
The Department of Economics has
well-established undergraduate and graduate programs. Our 32 faculty members
have active research programs encompassing theoretical and empirical approaches
in a broad array of fields including macroeconomics, labour economics, public
economics, environmental/resource economics and econometrics. The Department of
Economics offers a dynamic, vibrant, collegial atmosphere within a university
renowned for its innovation.
The closing date for applications is November 15, 2018.
