The School of Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo invites applications for a position in accounting for an appointment beginning July 1, 2019.  The successful candidate will be hired either as an Associate Professor with tenure or a Full Professor with tenure.

Candidates should have established reputations for excellence in financial accounting and capital markets research and the ability to make significant contributions to teaching and supervising PhD students.  Candidates will also have demonstrated teaching excellence in any area of accounting (management accounting, financial reporting, taxation, assurance, accounting information systems).

The School is widely recognized for its research and programs. We offer a collegial and stimulating environment that promotes collaboration, intellectual curiosity and growth.

The School also has a highly-respected PhD program and has graduated forty doctoral students since the inception of the program in the 1990s.

The School of Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo invites applications for a position in ethics for an appointment beginning July 1, 2019.  The successful candidate will be hired either as an Assistant Professor or as an Associate Professor.

Normally candidates for Assistant Professor should expect to have a PhD or have completed their PhD by the date of their first appointment at the University of Waterloo and should demonstrate the potential for high-quality behavioral research in professional ethics. Candidates will also have the potential for teaching excellence in ethics for accounting and finance students.

Candidates for Associate Professor with tenure should have established reputations for high-quality behavioral research in professional ethics. Candidates will also have demonstrated teaching excellence in ethics for accounting and finance students.

A professional designation, while not required, is an asset.

All areas of accounting will be considered with preference given to the Financial Accounting area. A professional accounting designation, while not required, is an asset.
