The School of Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo invites applications for a position in accounting for an appointment beginning July 1, 2019.  The successful candidate will be hired either as an Associate Professor with tenure or a Full Professor with tenure.

Candidates should have established reputations for excellence in financial accounting and capital markets research and the ability to make significant contributions to teaching and supervising PhD students.  Candidates will also have demonstrated teaching excellence in any area of accounting (management accounting, financial reporting, taxation, assurance, accounting information systems).

Normally candidates for Assistant Professor should expect to have a PhD or have completed their PhD by the date of their first appointment at the University of Waterloo and should demonstrate the potential for high-quality research in accounting information systems and data analytics.  Candidates will also have the potential for high-quality teaching in accounting information systems and data analytics.

Candidates for Associate Professor with tenure should have established reputations for high-quality research in accounting information systems and data analytics.  Candidates will also have the demonstrated teaching excellence in accounting information systems and data analytics.

Definite Term Lecturer - Data Analytics, Limited Term October 31 2018 @Midnight EST Please login to submit your application

The School of Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo invites applications for a two-year definite term position at the Lecturer level, for an appointment beginning April 1, 2019. The School requires a candidate who can teach a variety of courses in data analytics and technology in an accounting/finance environment, assist with broader School activities, and assist with outreach activities to alumni and industry. The individual should be knowledgeable and have practical experience in data analytics in industry and/or financial services. Duties include teaching, course coordination, program development, outreach activities, and administration.

A graduate degree in accounting, finance, management, or education is desirable. While not required, previous teaching experience in a post-secondary institution and relevant industry experience are all assets.
